THE JOBSCOPE
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the stewardship department to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Control and distribute operating equipment, ensuring it is maintained in excellent condition.
- Enforce strict cleaning and sanitation standards throughout all food processing facilities and kitchen areas.
- Oversee the performance of utility staff, pot washers, and dishwashers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Train and mentor Stewards in proper cleaning techniques and procedures to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules and maintenance routines.
- Collaborate with kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless operations and support service delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures in food processing facilities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School or diploma or equivalent.; additional qualifications will be a plus
- Certification in food safety / basic food hygiene is preferred
