Dickson Kong
Chief Executive Officer
Dickson heads UOA Hospitality, the hospitality arm of UOA Group since he first joined UOA in 2016. As the Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for the division’s expansion, branding and operations, and provides overall leadership and strategic direction in all aspects for the company.
Teng Ei Liang
Vice President of Development
Ei Liang brings a great depth of experience to his role in driving UOA Hospitality’s portfolio growth strategy. Having started out in hospitality business development with the Singapore Tourism Board, he spent almost seven years as Group Director, Development at luxury boutique hotel operator Alila Hotels & Resorts, in charge of business development and technical services, handling numerous projects in India, China, North and South East Asia. Prior to his current role with the group, Ei Liang’s time in Malaysia has also seen him serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Keystone Land Developments and Deputy CEO of Platform Hospitality Group.
Philip Lim
Deputy Head of Hospitality
Philip has spent over 30 years in various international brands across the hospitality industry. In addition to having been a key member of the management team in distinct organisations, his previous roles also took him places such as the Country General Manager at The Ascott Limited, responsible for profitability, business development and growth in Indonesia as well as Malaysia. With his experience in building business volumes and maximising profitability, Philip will oversee the Group’s direction together with respective Business Units Heads to bring UOA Hospitality to greater heights.
Sam Khoo
Head of Hospitality
Sam Khoo is a seasoned professional with a wealth of expertise spanning more than a decade in property, retail, and hospitality management. With an impressive track record, she has consistently demonstrated her prowess in these sectors. Currently, as the Head of Hospitality at UOA Hospitality, Sam leads with a passion for excellence, leveraging her extensive background to drive innovation and elevate the guest experience. Her leadership and commitment to delivering exceptional results make her a formidable force in the industry.
Choo So Yee
Vice President of Finance
So Yee has over 20 years of experience working in finance, with a strong track record in leadership positions within the hospitality industry. She combines a deep understanding of financial instruments and processes with the capacity to adopt new concepts in the setting up of accounting departments, system reviews and financial reporting. From pre-opening to the implementation of financial systems, policies and procedures, So Yee is dedicated to supporting a successful business.
Yan Swee Foong
Vice President of Procurement
Swee Foong brings over 20 years of experience in Procurement, in which she leads the cluster procurement team in the implementation of appropriate procurement processes and activities at the company’s various properties. Swee Foong had previously managed the purchasing departments at Holiday Inn Glenmarie and The Pan Pacific Glenmarie in Kuala Lumpur. Since joining the team in 2014, she has been instrumental in improving the quality and efficiency of the procurement process, demonstrating her strong ability in cluster procurement, contracts and special projects.
Ng Bee Fong
Director of Marketing
Bee Fong brings a great depth of experience to her role in driving Marketing and PR strategies for UOA Hospitality. Prior to her current role with the group, she has spent over 15 years orchestrating marketing campaigns that effectively reinforce and build awareness for various brands in the hospitality industry. In particular, she has enjoyed a long association with world-renowned Marriott International and has overseen multiple pre-opening hotel projects with the latest being W Kuala Lumpur, the first W Hotel brand successfully launched in Malaysia. In addition to being an accomplished hotel marketer, Bee Fong also specialises in branding, partnerships, and corporate communications.
Mok Sau Wai
Director of Human Resources
Sau Wai is passionate about driving HR strategies that increase effectiveness, transform cultures, promote collaboration and develop high-performing leaders for the organisation. Over the last 15 years, she has held HR positions in Ascott and Ritz-Carlton with experience spanning cluster HR management and a full spectrum of HR functions such as training and development. Recognised in the hospitality industry for her experience and expertise, Sau Wai is dedicated to creating a culture of high performance and continuous learning that will build the company’s human capital capabilities and talent pipeline to meet immediate and long-term business objectives.
Lanise Loo
Director of Sales & Strategic Partnership
Lanise is an accomplished sales professional with a robust background in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Director of Sales and Strategic Partnership at UOA Hospitality, she leverages her expertise to drive growth and forge strategic alliances with our partners. Her previous roles as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur and Renaissance Johor Bahru underscore her impressive track record in sales and marketing within renowned hotel brands, solidifying her reputation as a strategic leader in the field.
Tony Ho
Corporate General Manager – Hotels & Residences
Tony has spent over 27 years in various international brands across the hospitality industry. In addition to being a vital part of various management teams, he has previously held positions like Country Head for The Ascott Limited Malaysia, responsible for overall profitability, asset enhancement and growth for the organisation. Tony’s expertise also extends to pre-opening projects where he leads the launch of new hotels. He successfully managed the opening of the first Capri by Fraser brand in Malaysia and has since spearheaded the establishment of the first independent hotel brand for UOA. With his experience in building business volumes and maximising profitability, Tony will oversee the Group’s direction to bring UOA Hospitality to greater heights.
Brendon Lee
Corporate General Manager – Conferences, Food & Beverages
With a rich background in hotel, conference and events, as well as F&B management, Brendon’s journey began at Ritz-Carlton, Grand Hyatt, and Resorts World in Singapore. He then took on a pivotal role at Pu Tien Group, leading the operations team to launch the initial Pu Tien restaurants in Singapore and Malaysia. Renowned for his natural leadership and business acumen, Brendon consistently showcases strategic expertise in ensuring efficiency, profitability, and overall business growth while overseeing the overall food & beverage operations for the Group. In his new capacity, Brendon will continue to supervise and bolster UOA Hospitality’s expansion, focusing on shaping the organisational culture, seeking growth opportunities, and cultivating strategic partnerships.
